The book discusses the latest developments and outlines future trends in the fields of microelectronics, electromagnetics and telecommunication. It contains original research works presented at the International Conference on Microelectronics, Electromagnetics and Telecommunication (ICMEET 2018), organised by GVP College of Engineering (A), Andhra Pradesh, India. The respective papers were written by scientists, research scholars and practitioners from leading universities, engineering colleges and R&D institutes from all over the world, and share the latest breakthroughs in and promising solutions to the most important issues facing today's society.

Professor Ganapati Panda is currently a visiting professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, and a former Deputy Director of the IIT Bhubaneswar, India. He completed his post-doctoral research work at the University of Edinburgh, UK and his PhD in Electronics and Communication Engineering at the IIT Kharagpur, India. He has published more than 365 research papers in various international journals, and has successfully completed a number of research projects with the MHRD, ISRO, DRDO, DST and British Council, UK. He has received several prestigious fellowship awards, e.g. Fellow of the National Academy of Engineering (FNAE) and Fellow of the National Academy of Science (FNASc), India. Dr Panda has also been selected for the Biju Patnaik Award for Scientific Excellence in recognition of his outstanding lifetime contributions in the field of science and technology. He also received the Samanta Chandra Sekhar Award from the DST, Government of Orissa. 
Dr Suresh Chandra Satapathy is currently working as Professor, School of Computer Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University  Bhubaneswar, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from JNTU Hyderabad and M.Tech. in CSE from NIT, Rourkela, Odisha, India. He has 27 years of teaching experience. His research interests are data mining, machine intelligence and swarm intelligence. He has acted as program chair of many international conferences and edited 6 volumes of proceedings from Springer LNCS and AISC series. He is currently guiding 8 scholars for Ph.D. Dr. Satapathy is also a Senior Member of IEEE.

Prof. Ramesh C. Bansal is a Professor & Group Head (Power Group) at the Department of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering, University of Pretoria, South Africa. Holding a Master of Engineering in Power Systems and a PhD in Hybrid Power Systems, he has more than 25 years of experience in teaching, research & industry. He has published more than 250 research papers, 10 books, and 10 book chapters. He is an Editor of many reputed journals including IET-Renewable Power Generation and Electric Power Components & Systems. He has received several fellowship awards, including: Fellow IET-UK; Fellow Engineers Australia; Senior Member, IEEE; and CP Engg.-UK Fellow-Institution of Engineers (India). 

Dr Birendra Biswal received his Master of Engineering from Veer Surendra Sai University (VSSUT) (formerly the University College of Engineering, Burla), Sambalpur, India in 2002 and his PhD from Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha, India, in 2009. His research interests focus on advanced signal processing, adaptive signal processing, image processing, data mining, power quality, and soft computing. He has published several papers in IEEE, IET and Science Direct. He is an Associate Fellow of Andhra Pradesh Academy of Sciences and serves as a reviewer for many prestigious journals around the globe.
